The Venue

i-Docs 2018 will be held accross two venues:

The Watershed, the premier film and media centre of the southwest of England. In addition to conference facilities, the Watershed includes three cinema spaces, a bar and cafe and the Pervasive Media Studio, a collaborative media and design research centre in collaboration with UWE and other partners.

The Arnolfini, an international arts centre and gallery in Bristol, England. It has a programme of contemporary art exhibitions, artist’s performance, music and dance events, poetry and book readings, talks, lectures and cinema.

Getting to Bristol

By Road

From the M4, exit at junction 19 and take the M32 to the city centre. From the M5, exit junction 18 and the follow the A4 Portway (to Bristol Airport). Parking is available at Millennial Square Underground car park, a 5 minute walk from the Watershed.

By Rail

Bristol is easily accessible by train. Bristol Temple Meads railway station is located in the city centre, an approximately 20 minute walk away from Watershed. Or take bus #73 to the Queen Square stop. Walk south to Farr’s Lane and turn right. Cross the bridge and head right. Watershed will be on your left.

By Air

Bristol Airport is 8 miles from the city centre and offers direct service to cities across the UK and Europe such as Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Brussels and Dublin.  

Where to Stay

Our current recommendations include Ibis Bristol Centre, Mercure Bristol Grand, and Brooks Guest House. Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa, Bristol Hotel, and the Raddison Blu are more upmarket but very convenient.
