Keynote: Convening Temporary Communities
As producer of site-specific arts projects and and programmes across such diverse locations as a rural town at the base of the North Island of New Zealand to the Eastern banks of Oslo’s former port, from a masonic lodge in St. Helens Merseyside to the seaside towns of Weston-super-Mare, Torquay and Newquay, Claire Doherty will explore how a progressive approach to place and a rejection of orthodox methods of ‘targeting’ communities shaped new types of place-based artworks during her time as Director of Situations.
